gios torino rennrad GIOS Torino Professional – Coco's VarietyIconic mid 80's race bike from the legendary Italian bike manufacturer Gios, made famous in the 1970s by the Brooklyn Chewing Gum team. This bike, built with a nearly complete Campagnolo Super Record group, has been well cared for, but ridden. Many minor paint chips and scratches, yet still a very handsome "rider". Derailleurs, chain rings and cranks are very clean and show little mileage. We completely stripped, rebuilt and tuned with many new parts
Iconic mid 80's race bike from the legendary Italian bike manufacturer Gios, made famous in the 1970s by the Brooklyn Chewing Gum team. This bike, built with a nearly complete Campagnolo Super Record group, has been well-cared for, but ridden. Many minor paint chips and scratches, yet still a very handsome "rider". Derailleurs, chain rings and cranks are very clean and show little mileage.
We completely stripped, rebuilt and tuned with many new parts and it's a very nice riding bike. Would not hesitate to take to L'Eroica! Frame is straight and true. Internal rear brake cable routing though missing the rear plastic bushing. Cast bottom bracket housing. Recessed brake nuts. Campagnolo drilled rear drop-outs. Gios engraving on fork crown and seat stay caps. Frame has some paint losses with the most noticeable being behind the chain ring on chainstay, underside of fork and on the inside of the fork at drop-out.

Shifters: Campagnolo Super Record
Cranks: Campagnolo with Super Record milled and pantographed 53-tooth ring and Campag 42 inside, 170 length. Dated 1984
Brake Calipers: Campagnolo Super Record, old (but functional) Campag brake blocks, cracked rubber O-rings.
Brake Levers: Campagnolo (possibly Victory?). Similar to Super Record, just different logo
Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo
Binder: Campagnolo
Bars: Cinelli Giro D'Italia, newer logo, 54-40
Stem: black Cinelli 1R with Gios pantograph
Seatpost: Campagnolo Super Record
Headset: alloy Campagnolo Super Record
Pedals: Miche quills, Christophe toe clips and new Christophe staps
Housing/Cables: new cables and housing (lined, with stainless cables)
Bar Tape: Velox cloth
Saddle: Selle San Marco Concor
Wheels: Specialized Allez 80's era road wheels with Saturna clincher rims and Specialized skewers. Functional, if not correct.
Tires and tubes: new Michelin tires
